With menus popping up all over the city, deciding on where to go to start your New Year's celebration can prove to need a bit of research. Luckily, we at The Imagists searched through countless celebrations to find five fabulous options to kick off your evening!

Ivory on Sunset

What: Ivory on Sunset is inspired by the restless creativity of Hollywood’s golden age and its eternal, timeless glamour. The menu has been designed by ABC’s The Taste and Bravo’s Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey, drawing on his passion for fresh, market-driven ingredients and celebrating California cuisine. On New Years Eve, expect to indulge in warm vichyssoise, sear foie gras, and truffle butter poached lobster.

Craft Los Angeles

What: There are a couple of options available during New Year’s Eve at Craft , with seating from 5:30-8:30pm (3 courses) and 9:00-10:00pm (3 courses with Champagne and party favors). Standouts from the menu include duck confit fritters, mugifuji pork loin and an apple kaiserschmarrn.

Redbird

What: Located in downtown Los Angeles, Redbird is carved into one of the city’s most historic edifices, inside the rectory building of Vibiana. Chef Neal Fraser with Amy Knoll Fraser have crafted a beautifully dynamic restaurant space within which to enjoy Chef Fraser's critically acclaimed Modern American menu. Dinner special include dishes like ricotta gnudini, wild hare and cotton cheesecake.

Price: $125, +$75-$95 special wine pairing

Cicada Club

What: Eat well and cheer to the New Year at the famous Cicada Restaurant with a festive menu, live music and dancing! Their four course dinner features selections such as risotto with porcini mushrooms, filet mignon and raspberry panna cotta, plus a glass of champagne! Relive the magic of old Hollywood in this art deco styled space and dance the night away while their 18 piece band serenades you into the new year!

The Sunset

What: Situated a few steps from the waves, and the passerby whales, The Sunset offers a unique setting unmatched in Southern California. Their 3 course fixed menu offers a balance between fresh and indulgent dishes such as seared beef carpaccio and carnaroli risotto. No need to hit the clubs after your meal as they are bringing the music and dancing to you!
